The 18-year-old Lockport teen injured early Saturday in a crash in Wheatfield that also killed two other young pedestrians has been released from Erie County Medical Center, officials said late Sunday.
Quincy Byrd was flown by Mercy Flight to ECMC after he and Melanie Aronow, 18, of Amherst and Quincy Harper, 18, of Lockport, were struck by a southbound vehicle as they were walking northbound. Aronow and Harper were pronounced dead at the scene.
A fourth pedestrian walking with the group was not injured.
Neighbors and the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said parked cars lined both sides of the heavily traveled highway as a nearby home hosted a party, and that the southbound vehicle struck the trio as they walked along the fog line.
