Sunday, 3 p.m.: Inner Ear Series reading featuring poets Alifair Skebe and Claire Nashar. Skebe is the author of the chapbooks “El Agua Es La Sangre De La Tierra: The Water Is the Blood of the Earth” (Finishing Line Press, 2008) and “Love Letters: Les Cartes Postales” (Basilisk Press). She is an English/writing instructor with the SUNY/Albany Educational Opportunities Program. Nashar’s first book of poems, “Lake,” was published by Cordite Books earlier this year. Born in Sydney, Australia, she is currently a doctoral student at the University at Buffalo, where her research centers on experimental poetics and translation studies.
