NIAGARA FALLS -- Complaints about three men going through cars in the city’s DeVeaux neighborhood early Sunday led to the arrest of one teenager, Niagara Falls police said.
Officers were called to the area of James Avenue and Hudson Drive shortly before 4 a.m. when neighbors complained of three men rummaging through vehicles. Officers said they confronted three young men walking down the street a short distance away, blocking vehicular traffic, and told them they were under arrest. Two of the men fled, according to reports.
Police recovered a digital camera, cellular telephone, change purse and $19.63 in loose change from Dominique T. Alexander, 17, of Jordan Gardens. He was charged with disorderly conduct pending further investigation, according to reports.
Police said it appeared that several vehicles in the area had been entered.
