Seth Hennard was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” award at the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Western New York Chapter, 2016 awards dinner. The award recognizes a member of HFMA who takes on either a leadership or volunteer role soon after joining the local chapter. Seth possesses the CGFM professional certification from the Association of Government Accountants.
Destinee L. Neumann was named executive director of Kristen Uniforms located on Eggert Road in Amherst. Her management incudes the retail store and all wholesale and embroidery operations. She has been an employee there since 2012, starting as a sales clerk. Neumann graduated from Tonawanda High School and is working toward an MBA.
The River Spring Lodge, owned by Dave and Carolyn Hamer, celebrated its grand opening at 1961 Church Road in Darien Center, in Wyoming County. The property includes a seven-room boutique hotel and a conference room for hosting meetings.

SUNY Buffalo State recently received a $139,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support the Art Conservation Department’s endeavors in Library and Archives Conservation Education. The grant will provide fellowships to two graduate students who are starting their program this fall.
