A Hamburg man has been arrested and accused of committing a rash of residential burglaries over the past three weeks in North Collins and Boston.
Daniel Bugenhagen, 36, faces 12 felony charges and one misdemeanor, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office, while working with Eden police, identified Bugenhagen as a suspect through information developed from a vehicle seen at an unspecified incident, the sheriff’s office said.
Bugenhagen was charged with five counts of burglary, four counts of grand larceny, attempted burglary, criminal mischief, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives arrested Bugenhagen Friday in Buffalo and he’s being held in the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $7,500 bail, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators used a new pawn shop database to locate and identify some of the items stolen.
