Frontier Central looking for new board member

Frontier Central is looking for a new School Board member.

Letters of interest from those who would like to be appointed to the Frontier Central School Board are due at noon Sept. 1.

The School Board plans to appoint a new member at its Sept. 20 meeting. The appointment would fill the seat until the May 16, 2017 election.

The vacancy occurred when Tom Best Jr. resigned this summer. Best is serving on the Hamburg Town Board.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a district resident for at least one year and be able to read and write. The board also would like applicants who have an “appreciation of the importance of service to the community, and a desire to guide, collaborate, and work with a team.”
