The Insurance Club of Buffalo announces its 2016-17 board of directors. Officers include: president, Sherry Ford, Lawley Insurance; vice president, Brian Willink, Chautauqua Patrons Insurance Co.; secretary/treasurer, Gina Cartenuto, Erie & Niagara Insurance; assistant treasurer, Cristin Tyler, LoVullo Associates; assistant secretary, Kevin Fox, McMahon Agency; legal counsel, Ric Saraf, Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak. Directors include: Shawn Berg, Richard Budlong, Audrey Carlson, Scott Dobosz, Robert Florio, Megan Makula, Karen Ryan and Neil Young. The goal of the Insurance Club of Buffalo is to promote education and fellowship among the insurance industry.


Columbus McKinnon Corp., manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, technologies and services, announced that it has appointed Charlene Miraglia as its new vice president of human resources and chief human resources officer. Miraglia received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, and earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota.


Five Star Bank, a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc., has hired Vito Caraccio as senior vice president, director of business banking. Caraccio holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

As part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Western New York has selected Kenmore Mercy Hospital as a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement in 2016. In addition, it has been designated a Blue Distinction Center + for Spine Surgery.


Bouvier Partnership LLP has changed its name to Bouvier Law LLP. The firm has been doing business under various names for more than 50 years and is located in the Main Place Tower downtown.


Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center was awarded a three-year reaccreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, an independent accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It earned this distinction after HFAP conducted a review of the quality and safety standards of the medical center and its satellite locations.
