Parking should be free in the evening in Buffalo
The News reported that parking meter limits on Hertel Avenue will be extended to three hours to accommodate moviegoers, and hours are being extended to 9 p.m. These extensions will soon be added to Elmwood Avenue.
The city is supposedly trying to be more “user-friendly.” We want to bring more people into the city to eat, shop, go to cultural events, see friends, etc. It seems really counterproductive to make people pay for evening parking, too. I hope the city will rethink this issue.
