John L. Tylock, 64, the North Tonawanda man who wandered away from his Master Street home July 29, has been found alive in a wooded area, North Tonawanda police said.
‘We were all very shocked he was found alive,” said Lt. Karen Smith. “He was very dehydrated. He had lost a lot of weight.”
Tylock, who was missing for 11 days, had been the subject of five different searches by land, air and with the help of the Erie County Sheriff’s Canine Patrol, said Smith.
He was ultimately located late Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area north of Forbes Street and east of Nash Road by a shoulder-to-shoulder line search, Smith said.
