Delta computer outage grounds planes ‘nationwide’

A crash of Delta Air Lines Inc.’s computer systems has grounded all of the carrier’s flights across the U.S.

Responding to complaints from passengers on Twitter starting at about 9 a.m. in London, Delta said it was experiencing a system outage “nationwide.” No details were given on the extent or timing of any delays.

The carrier said on its website that flights that have already taken off are operating normally.

“Delta is advising travelers to check the status of their flights this morning while the issue is being addressed,” it said.
