City Hallways (Aug. 8) Yes or no on Main Street medians? Poll results

Poll: Median supporters win

To the question: Should the Main Street medians stay or should they go, a majority of you said "stay."

There were 189 votes cast in the poll City Hallways posted last week on Main Street medians. Here are the results:

  • 50 percent want the medians to stay
  • 43 percent want the medians removed
  • 7 percent are uncertain

There were also great comments from median haters and median lovers that I'll publish over the next few days.

Money matters: Week 2, starting with Masten District

Our continuing look at campaign reports for city officials brings us today to Masten Councilman Ulysees Wingo.

Financial disclosure reports filed with the state Board of Elections state Wingo had $136 in January, and took in $1,150 over  the past six months. His biggest donation was $1,000 from the Washington, D.C., office of The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

The only spending Wingo reported was a $100 ticket to a Grassroots fundraiser.

Wingo reported having $1,186 left in his campaign fund.
