Ivana Petruzzo and Andrew Gates were married at 2 p.m. on Feb. 20 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Swormville. Guests gathered for a reception at Samuel’s Grande Manor in Clarence. The Rev. Robert M. Yetter, pastor of St. Mary’s, heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Felice and Lina Petruzzo of Clarence. The bridegroom’s parents are Thomas and Patricia Gates of Tonawanda. The bride, a graduate of Clarence High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in childhood education from Canisius College where she also earned a master’s degree in literacy education. The bride is a teacher at Buffalo United Charter School. The groom, a graduate of Sweet Home High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University at Buffalo. He is a market development executive at Ingram Micro in Williamsville. After a trip to Aruba, the couple will make their home in Clarence.
