SANBORN – A woman was sexually attacked midday Wednesday on the campus of Niagara County Community College and her alleged attacker later arrested.
The attacker grabbed the woman, a student, at 12:15 p.m. as she walked down a hallway in the school and then forced her into a stairwell. The victim was able to escape and alert staff members.
Dejuan L. Hunt, II, 25, of Niagara Falls, was apprehended later on an NFTA bus in the City of Niagara Falls. The bus had picked him up outside the school following the attack, according to a report issued by the Niagara County Sheriff Department.
Hunt, who is not a student at NCCC, was charged by Niagara County sheriff investigators with first-degree sexual abuse and forcible touching. He was arraigned in Town of Cambria Court and remanded to Niagara County Jail on bail of $10,000 cash or a $20,000 bond. A return court date was set for Aug. 9.
The investigation is ongoing.
