Hamburg Town Beach really gouges visitors
On July 19, my 81-year-old sister came to town to finally meet my two small grandchildren who were playing in the sand at Hamburg Town Beach. My sister and her older daughter drove down to the beach. Upon arrival, they discovered a beach parking sticker was required. Not one to break any rules, she purchased one. She was issued a one-day parking pass for $20! This I found to be utterly ridiculous.
Talk about price gouging. A Hamburg resident can visit the beach 365 days a year for the same price. Is the town in that dire need to raise revenue?
Hamburg, the town that “friendship” built. Seriously?
