Corfu man injured in Pembroke crash charged with felony DWI, drug possession

PEMBROKE – A Corfu man hopitalized after crashing head-on into a tanker truck on Angling Road Sunday was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and drug possession, State Police said.
Michael T. Dibble, 25, was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, for treatment of a broken left forearm and a leg injury.
Troopers said they found heroin at the crash seene and Dibble underwent a blood test at the hospital. The DWI charge was elevated to a felony because of a previous DWI conviction, police said. He also was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and use of a vehicle without a court-ordered interlock device. He faces an appearance in Pembroke Town Court.
