Beauts sign Lavoie

The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women’s Hockey League have signed Kristina Lavoie to a one-year contract. She will earn $13,000 during the 2016-17 season.

“Kristina is another prospect who comes to us from the Buffalo Free Agent Camp,” Beauts General Manager Ric Seiling said. “Right away, Craig (Muni, the team’s coach) and I noticed her ability to make good passes and find her teammates with them. We think she can be an integral piece to our goal production.”

Lavoie played four years for the University of New Hampshire, scoring 108 points in 134 games.

The period for free agency in the NWHL ends on Sunday; it began on May 1.
