Bisons Prospects: Outfielder Dalton Pompey is hitting .273 in his last 10 games. Fellow outfielder Domonic Brown is also playing well, riding a 13-game hit streak. He's reached base in 39 of his last 42 games.

Syracuse Prospects: The Nationals top prospect, RHP Lucas Giolito, was optioned to the Chiefs Monday. Righty Reynaldo Lopez is the team's the team's third-ranked prospect according to MLB.com. As for a position player, MLB.com has catcher Pedro Severino as the Nats' 16th best prospect.

Major connections: Matt den Dekker has 154 MLB games under his belt in four seasons with the New York Mets and the Nationals. Second baseman Steve Lombardozzi played two full seasons with Washington in 2012 and 2013. Pitcher Bronson Arroyo is on the seven-day disabled list.
