An Amherst man was injured when his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The 41-year-old motorcyclist was treated at the scene and then taken to Erie County Medical Center for continuing treatment of his injures, according to Niagara Falls police.
The motorcyclist was headed east on Pine when a westbound pickup truck, driven by a 49-year-old Niagara Falls man, began to make a left turn onto Packard Road. The motorcycle driver slid into the truck.
The names of the drivers were not released. That portion of Pine Avenue was closed until about 3:30 p.m.
The Niagara Falls Police Crash Management Team is investigating and charges are pending, according to Capt. Angela Munn, commander of the Police Traffic Division.
