Niagara men’s basketball adds two players

Niagara University men’s basketball coach Chris Casey Monday announced the addition of two players to the Purple Eagles’ 2016 recruiting class, one a high school forward, the other a junior college point guard.

Kierell Green is a 6-foot-7, 175-pound forward who as a junior helped Integrated Design & Electronics Academy win the Washington D.C. Public Charter Schools championship. As a senior he was second team All-DC and first team all-conference, averaging 11.5 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.7 blocks. His cousin, Malcom Lemmons, played at Niagara from 2010-13.

Dwayne Pow is a 5-10, 165-pound guard from the Bronx who played at Mineral Area College in Missouri two seasons ago, averaging 9.8 points and 5.2 assists on a team that included four Division I recruits. He spent the last academic year at Clarendon College in Texas and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
