Black lives mantra deserves a closer look
Here is the problem as I see it concerning Black Lives Matter.
My notion is that when black people hear “black lives matter,” they hear black lives matter also.
When white people hear “black lives matter,” most, certainly not all, hear black lives matter more.
And therein lies the problem. I don’t think anyone can rationally argue that in our country, black lives have not mattered as much as white lives.
We must do our best to eschew obfuscation and espouse elucidation and lean into the light.
