ALABAMA – A resident of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation was arrested Monday afternoon for driving while intoxicated after striking a vehicle and fleeing, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
Arnold Sundown Jr., 52, was involved in a two-car hit-and-run around 2:30 on Council House Road on the Tonawanda reservation. Officers found the suspect and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
He was arraigned in the Town of Alabama Court and held without bail.
Sundown also was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, failing to yield right of way entering a roadway, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating without an interlock device.
