NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – A woman hiking on the marked trails in the Niagara Gorge was treated for heat exhaustion Friday afternoon, according to the Niagara Parks Police Service.

The woman, whose name was not released, had been unable to get out of the Niagara Glen on her own. A member of her group alerted authorities, and she was eventually located by the Niagara Falls Fire Department. She was treated on the scene, secured in a basket and carried out.
