A 46-year-old Buffalo woman faces up to 25 years in prison when she is sentenced next month for attacking a Buffalo teenager with a meat cleaver during a robbery, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office reported Friday.
Mercedes Rosado pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery in connection with an attack on 17-year-old Jaqualine Rosado.
Authorities said the suspect cut the teen’s face with the meat cleaver, broke her nose and stole her shoes and purse.
The two women are not related, authorities said.
Mercedes Rosado was jailed pending an Aug. 25 sentencing before Erie County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk.
