Ashley Engl, operations analyst for Buffalo-based insurance agency Lawley Insurance received the Joel S. Pollack Young Agent of the Year Award from the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York. Engl was honored for her work as a member of the IIAAWNY board, her work with the organization’s Next Generation of Insurance Professionals group and her involvement with the Lancaster High School Academy of Finance.


Morgan Stanley announced that J. Bradley Rauch - a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor and Senior Investment Management Consultant in its Wealth Management office in Buffalo - has been named to the firm’s Master’s Club, an elite group composed of the firm’s top Financial Advisors. Rauch holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Canadian Studies from St. Lawrence University. He has been with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management since 1994.

Company Connections

Astronics Corp., an East Aurora aerospace company, was awarded a contract worth more than $5 million to provide night vision compatible lighting systems for an undisclosed nation’s fleet of F-16 aircraft. The award covers design, development and product production. More than 90 percent of the contract’s revenue is anticipated to be received in 2017 and 2018.


The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corp. was recently honored for its environmental performance results in 2015 by Green Marine, a North American environmental certification program.
