Volunteers are needed to act as victims for an Active Shooter Training Course to be held Monday and Tuesday by the Erie County Division of Emergency Medical Services and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office to train EMS and law enforcement personnel.
Participation can be used toward community service hours or Boy Scout emergency preparedness drill requirements. Volunteers will be given a detailed patient profile outlining their injuries and will be made up to simulate gunshot wounds, bleeding and other injuries.
Volunteers are needed from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Lancaster and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday in West Seneca. Students and scouts will receive a letter of participation. High school and college students and adult volunteers are preferred. To register, email Tracy.FricanoChalmers@erie.gov.
