It’s not dollar dog day, but it’s close.
Ted’s Hot Dogs will charge $1.25 for its regular hot dogs Wednesday as part of its Hot Dogs for Change promotion. It will donate 25 cents from each sale to Change MS, a local multiple sclerosis foundation.
Hot dogs will sell for that price at all 10 Ted’s locations, from open to close. There is no limit to the amount purchased.
Regular hot dogs usually retail for $2.89.
Ted’s will also have its food truck set up at Canalside from 3 to 9 p.m. honoring the same deal.
If the company’s wildly popular $1 Dog Day in February is any indication, Ted’s locations are bound to be bustling. Doors will open an hour early at 9:30 a.m. to accommodate them.
The company said it sold 32,000 hot dogs on $1 Dog Day, and is hoping to sell at least 40,000 this time around. If it reaches that mark, it will raise $10,000 for Change MS.
