The Western New York Flash came from behind to earn a 1-1 tie against the Seattle Reign late Saturday night. The deadlock pushed the Flash’s record to 8-4-1.
Abby Dahlkemper set up the game-tying goal, which came in the 45th minute. She moved a corner kick to the far post, where Jessica McDonald was waiting. McDonald headed the ball into the net. Manon Wells had put Seattle ahead in the third minute. WNY had a 19-9 edge in shots, but only five of those attempts by the Flash were on goal.
The Flash will return to Rochester’s Rhinos Stadium on Saturday for a game with FC Kansas City.
