Four injured after Irving crash caused by speeding driver

IRVING – Four people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Thursday night caused by a driver travelling at a high rate of speed.

The crash happened at about 8:25 p.m. on Routes 5 and 20, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said.

A vehicle driven by Francis W. Kiley, 43, of Angola, was heading east at an apparent high rate of speed when it collided with a vehicle pulling out of a parking lot onto Route 5 and 20, the sheriff’s office said.

Thomas M. Kiley, 41, of Silver Creek, was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Francis Kiley. After both were initially taken to Lakeshore Hospital, they were transferred to Erie County Medical Center by Starflight and Mercy Flight with apparent non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, Nancy J. Wallace, 64, and her passenger, Stacey M. Wallace, 39, both of Dunkirk, were also taken to Lakeshore Hospital.

Charges are pending, the sheriff’s office said.
