House fire put out on Cumberland Avenue

A two-story home was severely damaged in a Thursday evening fire, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 100 block of Cumberland Avenue at around 8:30. The wooden frame home was engulfed in flames. The fire apparently started in the basement.

The identities of the residents was not released, but everyone managed to get out safely. No one was hospitalized.

The fire was put out by 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
