Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School gets a new principal

Michele Battin, a teacher at Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School for the past 21 years, is the school’s new principal.

The appointment was announced this week by the school’s Board of Trustees and completes a transition to a president-principal plan for school administration. The trustees named Kevin P. McLaughlin, the school’s chief operating officer, as president in April.

Battin joined the Timon faculty in 1995 as an English teacher and has taught American history and Publications, a class that designs the school yearbook, literary magazine and newspaper. She succeeds Thomas J. Sullivan, principal for the past 22 years, who retired in June.
