Bills' legend Kelly gets good news from biopsy results

Jim Kelly got good news from the results of a biopsy taken Thursday, his wife, Jill, posted on Instagram.

"A big thumbs up from JK! 👍🏻" Jill wrote. "And a big THANK YOU to God, the doctors and all of you who prayed for Jim today. Preliminary results from the biopsies show NO sign of cancer!!

"After he heard the awesome news, he said two things: "Thank God for all the prayers!" And... "I need a chocolate milkshake!" #KellyTough

Earlier in the day, Jill, via an Instagram post, said her husband is in the hospital in New York for a biopsy.

Under a photo of a smiling Kelly, sitting in a chair in a hospital gown and with his legs covered by a blanket, Jill Kelly wrote: "This guy. And that smile. We're back in NYC. Jim's last scans came back inconclusive necessitating the need for biopsy surgery today. Please pray for good results and NO cancer. Thank you!!! #kellytough."

Just last week, at his annual football camp at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Bills' Hall-of-Fame quarterback sounded upbeat about his health.

“I feel awesome,” Kelly said. “I’m at playing weight. I’m at 230, which is cool. I gained a little over 30 pounds back, which is good. I got the green light to work out now, which is good. I just started back. Hopefully I’ll get a bit stronger.”
