Three Detroit men arrested in Noblesville, Ind., early Sunday for a break-in at the Best Buy store there “could very well be persons of interest in last month’s rooftop break-in at the Best Buy Store on Niagara Falls Boulevard and the 2013 break-in at that Amherst store,” according to Amherst Police Detective Lt. Rick Walter.
The suspects fled their car when it crashed near the Indiana Best Buy store during a police chase and a fourth suspect escaped. Arrested were Nathan Gordy, 25; Elija David, 23, and Antony Parker Jr., 41, all of Detroit.
The three Detroit men currently face burglary, theft and resisting law enforcement charges in that Indiana case. A third Best Buy store was burglarized in Erie, Pa., on June 22 and police there are expected to question the Detroit suspects soon.
In the Best Buy break-in in Indiana the suspects allegedly used power tools to cut through the roof to gain entry after the store closed for the night, the similar tactic that was used in the Best Buy burglary in Amherst last month.
