Buffalo records 13th shooting in 9 days

A person was shot in the shoulder on Tuesday night at Sycamore and Gray streets, according to a Buffalo police report.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m.

The person, whose name and age were not released, was taken by a private vehicle to Erie County Medical Center. No further details were included in the report.

It was the 13th shooting over nine days from June 27 to Tuesday. In those shootings, one person was killed and 15 people were injured.

In a double-shooting June 29, an 11-year-old was shot in the head on Humason Avenue.

Early Tuesday, there was a double-shooting at Broadway and Strauss Street that left one person dead and a 29-year-old man wounded. Police have not identified the person who was killed.
