Linus Ullmark, the No. 2 goaltender in the Sabres' organization, announced Wednesday he will miss Buffalo's development camp this week.
Sad that I'm not able to attend this years #SabresDevCamp because of sickness. But I'm sure there's enough swedes for everyone. 😉

Ullmark, who appeared in 20 games with the Sabres last season, is at an interesting spot in his development. The 22-year-old showed he could play in the NHL, but he would likely be better served as the starter in Rochester rather than the backup to Robin Lehner.
Buffalo acquired Anders Nilsson last week as the relief for Lehner. Ullmark could be expected to take over the starting job in case of long-term injury to Lehner.
The Sabres' development camp starts Wednesday afternoon in HarborCenter. The goalies remaining are Jonas Johansson, Cal Petersen and Antoine Samuel.
