COSTILOW, Mary (Iovenitti)

COSTILOW - Mary (nee Iovenitti) Born February 28, 1926; dearest daughter of Thomas and Lucy Iovenitti who bravely immigrated to the USA from L'Aquila Italy, died Father's Day, June 19, 2016 from natural causes. Mary was sweet, kind, generous, concerned and loving of everyone and everything. She grew up and lived her early years in Buffalo, NY with her parents, two brothers, Pheripo "Phil" and Tony until she married Ray C. Dewey and moved to Tonawanda. Mary survived Ray and continued to care lovingly for her mother until moving both to Phoenix, AZ where she met her late husband Dr. Ralph Costilow a microbiologist, veteran Air Force Colonel and pilot in WW II who died several years ago. Mary and Ralph moved her mother Lucy to California from Arizona in early 1993, where they resided in Tustin Ranch a community in Orange County California close to those she wanted around her. She never saw the distress in the world and only the love. Mary was a remarkable and truly beautiful individual who will be missed. During the last eight years Mary had dementia and Alzheimer's affliction that debilitated her except for her warm and touching smile that let you know she still saw all the good in the life she had. Mary believed in God, cherished our Lord Jesus Christ, gave freely to those in need, and forgave anyone and everyone without reservations. Family will be present Friday, July 8, 2016 from 1-4 PM at (Cleveland Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 569 Cleveland Drive, where prayers will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Infant of Prague Church at 10 AM. Flowers are gratefully declined. Share condolences at
