Man gives a fake name to fake his way out of a drunken driving charge

NIAGARA FALLS – A Niagara Falls man already wanted on two warrants found himself standing in front of police again this weekend on a charge of drunken driving.

After learning his real name, Niagara Falls Police charged Marcus T. Ming, 27, with criminal impersonation, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, refusal to take a breath test, speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to signal a lane change and refusal to take a breath test.

He was stopped around 5 a.m. Sunday at 18th Street and Pierce Avenue. Police reported asking Ming how much he had to drink and he said, “A lot.” Police also found a bottle of liquor, which had been partially opened, on the passenger seat.
