The Burchfield Nature and Art Center 2016 Summer Concert Series begins Tuesday evening with Stone Row, described as “a tapestry of Celtic and world music.” The series continues every Tuesday evening through Aug. 2. The five concerts are set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and are played in the amphitheater overlooking the Buffalo Creek. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved to the tent area on the patio. Anyone attending is encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
The center is located at 2001 Union Road in West Seneca. Access to the parking lot is from Race Street.
• The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Town Hall Court Room on its recommendations to not pursue a flood risk management study at the Lexington Green residential community adjacent to Buffalo Creek. • The Queen of Heaven Carnival kicks off at 4 p.m. Thursday with a Super Cruz Night. Festivities continue through Sunday at 4220 Seneca Street.
