Starting Pitchers: Righty Chris Leroux (6-4) goes for the Bisons while righty Diego Moreno (3-1) heads to the mound for the RailRiders.

Bisons Prospects: Four Bisons players were named to the Triple-A All-Star Game: designated hitter Jesus Montero, closer Dustin Antolin, starting pitcher Drew Hutchinson and reliever Ben Rowen. The Bisons haven't had this many all-stars in a season since 2005.

RailRiders Prospects: Right fielder Aaron Judge and catcher Gary Sanchez are the Yankees' second and third-ranked prospects, respectively, according to MLB.com. Left fielder Ben Gamel is ranked 12th.

Major connection: The RailRiders have former Yankee and Indian Nick Swisher and Luis Severino, who was sent down by the Yankees after struggling in the majors this season.

WCC Race: Chicken Wing fittingly won on National Chicken Wing Day yesterday, earning his ninth win of the season. He's behind Atomic (20) and Blue Cheese (10) but ahead of Celery (0).

The homestand: The Bisons finish their four-game series with the RailRiders Sunday at 6:05 p.m., when the team will host the annual Independence Eve celebration. The festivities include a post-game performance by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and the largest fireworks display of the season at Coca-Cola Field.
