A vacancy on the town of Wales planning board was has filled with the runner-up to the previous opening.
Ironically, Kevin Ingram is replacing the woman who edged him out on the last vacancy.
Julie Barry was appointed to the planning board in December but recently stepped down to accept a position as a Wales town assessor.
Councilman Gerald Klinck said choosing between Barry and Ingram last December was difficult.
“We came back to the board at that time and said we wished we could appoint both of them,” Klinck said. “It was a tough choice. It worked out; we got a chance to hire both.”
