Cole Schneider is staying home.
The Williamsville native, who made his NHL debut with Buffalo during the final two games of last season, has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres. Terms were not immediately available.
The Sabres acquired the 25-year-old in a minor-league blockbuster with Ottawa in February. He totaled 21 goals and 56 points in 73 games with Binghamton and Rochester.
Schneider has appeared in 282 minor-league games, recording 87 goals and 205 points. He's topped 20 goals and 50 points in each of his last three seasons.
