Man pleads guilty to North Tonawanda sex crime

LOCKPORT – A former Buffalo resident pleaded guilty Thursday to two felonies in connection with a sex crime committed Dec. 8 in North Tonawanda.

Cornell D. Dennis, 36, listed a home address on Oliver Street in North Tonawanda, but he won’t be there for quite a while, as Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said he’ll sentence Dennis to something between three and five years in state prison when he returns to court Aug. 25.

Dennis pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree criminal sexual act. The victim was a 16-year-old boy whom Dennis met in the parking lot of a City of Tonawanda fast-food restaurant and walked with over the bridge to North Tonawanda, where the teenager was forced to perform a sexual act on Dennis.
