NU women add former Tapestry star, two other transfers

Three transfers from NCAA Division I school will join the Niagara University women’s basketball program coach Jada Pierce announced.

Forward Adila Gathers of Buffalo from Saint Francis (Pa.), guard Diona Johnson of Rochester from Davidson and guard Paige Mosley of Warner Robins, Ga., from Clemson come to Niagara with playing experience.

Gathers (5-foot-11), who played at Tapestry Charter, played for a season and a half at St. Francis. Johnson (5-9) played two seasons at Davidson, averaging 4.2 points and making 80 percent of her free throws in 2015-16. Mosley (5-10) played in 25 games, starting 16 for Clemson as a junior last season, averaging 4.8 points and 1.2 rebounds.
