There may be some movement in Hamburg on a proposed sports facility.
The Town Board has scheduled a special meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday to discuss the multi-sports facility, with action expected to be taken.
The board met in executive session Monday with Marty Starkman, president of Sportstar Capital of Toronto, Ont., and others on the facility. The board has been negotiating an agreement to have Sportstar buy the property, build a sportsplex and manage it.
The multi-million facility would include two ice rinks, a field house, gyms, a pro shop, a restaurant and a snack bar in a public-private partnership.
The special meeting will take place in Conference Room No. 1 of Town Hall, 6100 South Park Ave.
