A 26-year-old Cheektowaga man who was pulled over by State Police for allegedly speeding on the Niagara Thruway about 4 a.m. Sunday was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated and other charges. Nico D. Kearney was charged with a felony count of DWI because of a prior drunken driving conviction within the past decade. After being taken to the Buffalo station of the State Police he registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.20 percent, two and one/half times the state’s legal limit. Kearny was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device previously ordered by a judge and multiple Vehicle and Traffic infractions. Before being turned over to a sober person he was ordered to appear in Buffalo City Court at 9:30 a.m. July 11.
