Maybe it’s time to revise the Second Amendment
In recent times, much emphasis has been placed on personal rights with scant regard for the impact on others by so doing. A prime example is the Second Amendment. Perhaps we need a new amendment that would change the nomenclature to Bill of Values.
While I won’t hold my breath waiting to see this change receive easy passage in Congress, we run the risk that our personal values will be lost forever. And, if we lose our values, what is left that is worth preserving?
