Family movies featured in multiple summer film series

Three family film series and a Robin Williams festival are just a few of the newly announced summer movie series being held at area movie houses and even outdoors. Here’s a quick look.

Riviera Theatre
67 Webster St., North Tonawanda

The Riviera will have two film series this summer, both on Thursdays. Tickets are $3 per film, $10 “fun pack” (beverage, popcorn, candy and admission) or free for Riviera Theatre members who may upgrade to a fun pack for $7.

Free classic family films will be shown at 11 a.m. Wednesday and Saturday.

July 20 and 23: “How to Train Your Dragon”

July 27 and 30: “Paddington”

Aug. 3 and 6: “The Lorax”


Flicks on Old Falls Street
Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls

Free movies will be shown Thursday nights outdoors on Old Falls Street. Pre-show music and games start at 7:30 p.m. with the movie at dusk (about 9 p.m.). Blankets and chairs are allowed; concessions will be available for purchase.
