Two motorcyclists were injured early Sunday afternoon in the Town of Alden when they were forced to lay down their motorcycles to avoid a collision with a vehicle making a left turn in front of them, authorities said.
The vehicle was heading eastbound on Genesee Street at 1:46 p.m. when it attempted to make a left turn onto Crittenden Road, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. The motorcyclists heading westbound on Genesee laid down their bikes to avoid a collision, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The male victims, who were not identified, were transported to Erie County Medical Center where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, who was also not identified, was issued at least one ticket, police said.
