WARHUS, Erma Marie (Fish)

WARHUS - Erma Marie (nee Fish) Passed away peacefully on the morning of June 24, 2016 at her home in Austin, TX in the company of loved ones as her daughter held her hand. She was 101 years and 9 months old. She was born in Buffalo, NY and lived most of her life in East Aurora, NY. Erma was the daughter of the late Earl and Susan (Ryan) Fish. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank W. Warhus, her three younger sisters and four younger brothers, and a cherished great-granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Mare (Len) Winter of Austin, TX, her son, Robert (Chris) Warhus of Byron, NY, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Carol Nagle Fish, and numerous nieces and nephews. Erma's daughter and family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Austin for their invaluable assistance and guidance in her transition from this life to the next. We extend special appreciation to Kristin and immeasurable thanks and much love to Katie and Nurys - we can't imagine having been on this challenging journey without them. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Erma has requested that everyone who cared about her in life have a party in her honor with plenty of her favorite beverage - wine. Contributions in her honor can also be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
