LOCKPORT – Two men pleaded guilty to felony counts of driving while intoxicated Friday in State Supreme Court, making the third drunken driving conviction for each.
William C. Cutlip and James L. Griggs each risk up to four years in state prison when they return before Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. Aug. 19.
Cutlip, 44, of Laur Road, Town of Niagara, said he downed eight beers before getting behind the wheel last year. He had prior alcohol-related convictions in 2011 in Lewiston and 2013 in the Town of Niagara.
James L. Griggs, 40, of Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls, was arrested Nov. 28 after drinking three beers. His previous DWI convictions came in 2010 in Niagara Falls and in 2011 in Niagara County Court.
