Evander Kane, the Buffalo Sabres left winger, is being investigated following an alleged disturbance Thursday night at Bottoms Up, a bar in the Chippewa entertainment district, Buffalo Police said Friday.
According to reports, Kane and others were escorted from the bar. Michael G. DeGeorge, police spokesman, called the police investigation “preliminary.”
However, Paul J. Cambria, the hockey star’s attorney, said Friday that the owner of the bar told him “Kane was not ejected from the bar and was not involved in an incident there.” Calls to the bar were unsuccessful.
Earlier this year, Kane was under investigation for allegations of a sex incident in the Buffalo HarborCenter Marriott in December 2015. No charges were ever filed in that case.
